You might have found people leaving stuff here and there, sometimes on your car too. Well, it must be NO BIG DEAL right as they might forget it right there on YOUR CAR. Ha! Well after reading this article you might not think the same way.
People are so busy and engulfed by a lot of daily life matters that they don’t care about stuff happening around them in public. Nobody will care, most of the time, if someone leaves something behind. But what they don’t understand is that it might be hazardous for them.
Human trafficking and kidnapping is getting common in workplaces
It is the story of a Young woman, Ashley Hardacre, who was going home after spending an ordinary day at work in a Mall located in Flint, Michigan. You might not believe it but people are leaving stuff on your vehicle’s windshield, or any other place can be pretty dangerous for you. Yes, you guessed it right. It SURE can result in your kidnapping or something nearly horrible as that.
Nowadays, people use these tactics to lure people into a trap. People get confused by this stuff and while trying to figure it out; they either get kidnapped or become a victim of human trafficking.
Strange people leaving strange things on cars
Something like this was about to happen to a Michigan Native when she saw a shirt on her windshield and decided not to fall into a trap. Ashley Hardacre, a 19-year-old girl, had a regular day at work. After finishing her shift, she, with her fellow workers, got out of the mall. As she started walking towards her car, she almost got alone, and that’s when strange things began to happen.
The young girl before opening the car’s door noticed that there was something on her car’s windshield. But before making any further steps to the front of the car, she immediately sat inside and locked her doors.
She drove her car to a safe place and quickly removed the shirt from her car and threw it away. She, in her interviews, told how she was so afraid during this whole encounter. But she safely succeeded in getting her life out of danger.
Ashley’s viral post
After the incident, the 19-year-old Michigan lady drove to her house and immediately posted this whole incident on her Social Media. She might have done it for a few Michigan natives but her post went viral, and everybody around the world read it. She also received some excellent comments for sharing her story, but some people thought it some attention-seeking stunt.
After the investigation by the local police, it was seen that things of this sort have been happening in a lot of places around. Ashley, herself gave this statement that she drove the car out of that place as fast as she can be just because she has heard some stories of kidnapping around the town by leaving stuff on people’s cars.
Ashley’s statement about the incident:
I got to my car and locked the doors behind me immediately as I always do and noticed that there was a blue flannel shirt on my windshield.
19-year-old part-timer has also given her statements to police and has done interviews too, only to let people know about these happenings and to warn them to be careful with them.
There were two cars near me, and one was running so I immediately felt uneasy and knew I couldn’t get out to get it off. At first, I thought maybe someone had just thrown it on my car for some odd reason.
That was when Hardacre hit a brain wave and decided to drive off that place as quickly as she could.
Luckily I knew better than to remove the shirt with cars around me, so I drove over to a place where I was safe and quickly rolled down my window and got the shirt off. “I had seen posts lately about people finding things under their windshield wipers in the burton/Flint area as an attempt to get girls out of their cars and distracted.
After this viral post, many new channels have reached the girl and asked about that night’s incident
This has also alerted the local police of the area to investigate the surrounding towns too. Flint township police detective Sgt. Brad Wangler has given a statement to CBS news in which he asked people to get cautious about their surroundings.
If something doesn’t seem right, or the hairs on the back of your neck stand up.But by all means, we need to know about this stuff when it happens. Nothing like this has ever happened before. There have been no other incidences like this. It’s kind of unknown as to what or why or who [did this].
While nothing is certain about anything, we should try our best not to be careless about anything that happens around us because it may lead us to a dead end.
Results of the investigation
After all the investigation, the police department couldn’t find anything on it as Hardacre ran from the scene as soon as possible to save her life. They have collected everything possible on the case, but they still are unsure about the person who put that shirt on Ashley’s car.
They are unsure what the intentions were of whoever wrapped the flannel around my windshield wiper, but it was intentional by the way it was placed,” she said. “So I have taken any opportunity to inform other people of the potential harm.
From now on, the mall security will be with Hardacre while leaving for her car after the work shift, so that nothing horrifying happens after her posting and contacting police for the matter.
